The Lake District National Park is home to some of the UK’s most scenic trails – rolling hills, tranquil tarns, and well-marked paths make it ideal for beginners. All these routes start from easy-to-reach spots with parking and public transport options.

  • Terrain: Gravel and forest path, easy loop

  • Start point: Tarn Hows Car Park (National Trust)
